Compassionate Response Pastoral Training Ministries form part of our teaching ministry to Christians in churches, and other interested groups. This training takes the form of workshops where audience interaction and participation is encouraged and indeed forms an important part.
The workshops are ideally suited to the smaller group, but that is not to say they will not work in a much larger group setting. They are workshops designed to convince the average church goer of the need to engage in compassionate ministry from a biblical basis and also equip them adequately to carry out these ministries.
The aim of this pastoral training is to interpret relevant biblical and theological insight, and in the case of the developmental learning disabilities workshops - technical theory, at the lay person’s level; and to also inform Christians of the legitimacy and primacy of caring ministries in the church’s ministry. This pastoral training is intended to change us as people on the spiritual and motivational level. As such there is a hope that these workshops would be life changing and could best be seen as forming part of a pastoral training program. We offer four areas of training at present. Individual information sheets on these are available.
